HUNTINGTON BEACH
My sisters and their extended family live in southern California and fairly close to the ocean. On one of my short 3-day trips, I only had one night left and I was dying to get to the beach! So I begged my sister Pat to drive us down to the ocean. We were basically “racing” the sunset…just because I wanted to take some photos! After the frantic picture taking session, we were able to go out to dinner at “Duke’s”. Cool! I did, however, get a couple of good shots that night!

This is the Huntington Beach boardwalk in front of the pier.

This is my favorite of the three photos. I was able to capture the lifeguard drying himself off on the lifeguard station balcony, the sun setting just above the water, and the seagull with his wings spread wide open. The sun is also reflecting off some of the polished glass in the sand.

My sister thought this one was, “a picture within a picture”. I liked that!
