CENTRAL PARK, NYC - B&W
Another place on my list of 'places to see' was Central Park. My son and I had to basically "forge" our way against the wind to cross the street to get to Central Park - but it was worth it. I could go there 10 more times and still not get enough! It was a total thrill for me. I thought this gallery on my website would be a good opportunity for me to mention that I have a B&W photographer friend I met on the internet: Dave Beckerman. In fact, I have a wall of his B&W photography of Central Park. If you don't get enough of Central Park here, go check out his website: www.davebeckerman.com. He specializes in NYC photography - street, special events, historical, subway - you name it he does it! Tell him Maria Soto sent you!

Central Park
This was my first view of Central Park. The contrasts of just the trees and nature against the high rises were amazing!
Trump Skating Rink
I learned that the skating rink in Central Park was the 'Trump' skating rink. Here the sun was trying to peak thru the high rises.
Winter Benches
You know, there's just something about these park benches - I think it's the curved lines and the pathways.
Bench and Snow
Normally I think these benches would be more inviting in the summer. However, the snow provided even more of a contrast.
New York Lithograph
The branches on these trees were so voluminous and intricate it looked more like a lithograph picture.
Central Park Benches
The sun was just starting to peek out - I loved it!
Central Park Playground
No one was brave enough to venture out to the playground that day, but the added contrast of the snow made for a great scene.
Park Vapors
The sun was melting the snow and the vapors were more than I could have wished for!
NYC View
When we left Central Park in search of warmth, we found a three story enclosed shopping mall. This was the view from the inside looking out thru a wall of glass panels at Central Park, the high rises, and the arrondissement!
