NEW YORK CITY - B&W
In January I visited my son Lee and his family in Fairfield, CT. The Sunday I was there, his wife Alicia suggested Lee and I take the train into NYC!! I mean, I WAS THERE! I have always dreamed of going to NYC and here was my chance. Of course, it had snowed the night before, but NYC didn't get the hard snow - the streets were only slushy and wet - and it was bitter cold to say the least. Lee and I were only there for 5 or so hours - but we covered a lot of territory on foot!

55th Street Train Station
This was my first view of the Big Apple! It probably doesn't look like much to you, but for me it filled my stomach with butterflies! We were almost there!
Grand Central Station
When we first walked into Grand Central Station - I got the same awe-inspiring feeling I had when I stood under the Eiffel Tower!
Grand Central Lights
It was a dark, dreary day - but it was my day to be there so I made the most of it. The hanging chandeliers were gorgeous. It was so unexpected. I had no idea what to expect.
Another View of Lights
I clicked off quite a few shots of these fabulous and enormous lights.
Grand Central Window
This is the window at one end of the station - again I'm making the most of the available light which wasn't a whole lot.
Rockefeller Plaza
These NHL flags surrounding the Rockefeller skating rink were flying fast and furious in the wind.
Atlas
The snow on the shoulders of Atlas caught my attention.
NBC Store
At one portion of the bottom floor of The Rock is the NBC station where the Today show is broadcast. And inside was the NBC store. This staircase inside the store was a photo op.
Rockefeller Art
Inside the ground floor lobby was this beautiful 'color' display of light and glass.
Top of the Rock Architecture
Here again there's a trace of snow on the gingerbread of the building. It was already a gray day, so I had a good idea of what it would look like in B&W.
Top of the Rock Architecture
The brushed steel......and lighting....stopped me in my tracks to the 'Top'.
NYC MOMA
We spent a couple of hours in the MOMA. Here's a view from inside looking out.
NYC Gingerbread
Another shot of the variety of architecture in the City. Didn't get enough?? Check out my Central Park Gallery!!
