MENDOCINO, CA - B&W
I'm fortunate to have a very special man in my life. And when my health was in turmoil, both he and my sister Pat came to my rescue! Lucky me! He took us all to Fort Bragg and Mendocino for 4th of July weekend. What a breath of fresh air the coast is - and Mendocino is one 'free spirited' town. If you've never been there - you need to go!

Fort Bragg Coastline
The ocean is a healing place. The views are breath-taking -- even in black and white.
Mendocino Art Gallery
We went thru every gallery in the city of Mendocino. At the top this 3 story gallery was a patio filled with stone artwork. The reflection of the town and artwork in the oval window caught my eye.
Mendocino Fence Vine
Just walking around the neighborhood we came across your basic vine growing up a fence.
Artwork
A portion of someone else's artwork caught my eye - I instantly saw it in B&W.
Mendo Hydrangeas
Mendo Trumpet Tree
I'd never seen a trumpet tree before. It was loaded with hanging yellow blooms right outside an art gallery.
Mendocino Duck
This little guy was oblivious to the crowds. He was safely tucked away in a large gated garden area.
Ultimate Patriotic Display
We were out for an early morning walk along the coastal residential area in Fort Bragg when we came upon this sign....with the flag. To me it was American freedom at best: I love my country - but this corner of the USA is mine - keep out'.
