BRYCE CANYON, UT - B&W
How lucky can I get? I went on a three week vacation and covered 7 states including a two and half day stay at Bryce Canyon in Utah. What a beautiful experience! The excitement started right from the get go when we first set eyes on the Red Canyon in a thunder and lightning storm. The Kodachrome Basin was absolutely awe inspiring and we went out on our first day in early morning with a layer of morning mist covering the valley.

Morning Mist
I tried something new - for me -and used a Hoya Yellow K2 filter. The results were fantabulous since I have never had much success with filters.
Canyon Cypress View
This view was taken in the Kodachrome Basin.
Personal Best
This is just the way it looked that morning. The contrasts were amazing. It truly is all about being at the right place at the right time!
Canyon Flora
Contrasts of the dried flora against the canyon cliffs.
Abandoned Property
We came across an abandoned home that included corrals for horses/cattle. Here I caught the reflections of the clouds in the window pane.
Kaibab Indian Reservation, UT
After we left Bryce Canyon, we went past the Kaibab Indian Reservation property and caught this natural looking scene from out of the past.
Moqui Cave, UT
This cave was news to us when we were driving on Scenic Hwy 89 and had to turn around and check it out. It is home to the largest collection of dinosaur tracks in southern UT, but I was more into the actual cave.
Old Fence
This was the fence surrounding the abandoned ranch in Kodachrome Basin.
Abandoned Trailer
This early mobile home was also on the same property. It was pretty worn out and intrigueing.
Bryce Canyon View
I think this one gives you an idea of the vastness of the canyon.
Legend of Montezuma
There's a legend of Montezuma's treasure in Kane County, UT. After the death of Aztec leader Montezuma, 'historical accounts' support a claim that some Aztecs left Mexico and buried Montezuma's treasures at the bottom of a lake. Who knew?
