FRANCE - LA TOUR EIFFEL - B&W
How can I explain to you how OVERWHELMING my first up close and personal view of the Eiffel Tower was for me?! My sisters and I stood for a good 10 minutes just looking, smiling, exchanging "oh, my goshes" and "I can't believe we're here"! It was unbelievable to say the least. Nothing could mask its greatness and beauty, not even the cold, gray, rainy, windy weather.

La Tour Eiffel in the Mist
It is HUGE! And it's beautiful, no matter how you look at it.
Eiffel Tower #2
Tower Base Snow
It was spring time (even though it was cold), and there blossom petals all around the base and on the ground and it looked like snow!
Nuts and Bolts
For those you who are mechanically inclined! Does anyone know how many rivets there are in the Eiffel Tower?
Eiffel Tower and People
There were a lot, and I do mean a lot, of people there that day. I suppose it's like that on every day. Lines at all four corners to get to the top.

Eiffel Tower 1st Level View
We took the tram up to the top and got a view from the first level.
Eiffel Tower Dome
This was a glass dome covering some of the machinery.
Eiffel Tower Tram
Here's a shot of the tram going up!
La Tour Tram View
Coming down in the tram, I clicked this one off very quickly.
Eiffel Tower View 2
